How Do I Get Research Help?

Librarians are here to assist with all of your research needs! Contact a librarian via chat, the virtual reference desk, phone or scheduling an in-person computer appointment.

How Do I Get Tutoring Help?

Tutors are available to assist you with your questions related to Dallas College coursework. Contact Tutoring Services to learn more about virtual tutoring or to schedule an in-person appointment.

When Are My Library Books Due?

Due dates for library materials (books, DVDs, etc.) have been extended through the end of the Fall 2020 semester. The Dallas College Libraries are not placing blocks on accounts due to overdue library materials. Please disregard overdue notices until then. If you have questions, please contact a librarian or our Circulation Department (972-860-7168).

How Do I Return My Library Books?

We've extended due dates on library materials so hold on to your library books (and DVDs)! However, if you would like to return your library materials (books and DVDs), please use the blue library book drop located in the C Building.

Can I Check Out Library Materials?

Unfortunately, the Dallas College Libraries are not checking out physical library materials (books, DVDs, textbooks, calculators, etc.) at this time. We have a large collection of electronic resources through our databases and eBook collections that can be accessed from anywhere. Contact a librarian if you need help finding or using online library resources.

How Do I Schedule an In-Person Computer or Tutoring Appointment?

Currently enrolled students and employees can schedule an in-person appointment to use a library computer, to reserve a study space or for tutoring assistance using our new online appointment system. Appointments are available Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm and must be scheduled 24-hours in advance. Walk-ins are not permitted. Students and employees with appointments are required to follow all procedures for visiting campus.

Does the Library Checkout Laptops?

The Library has a limited number of Chromebook laptops available to currently enrolled students; however, we are not currently checking out our Chromebook laptops. If you need a tablet or Wi-Fi hotspot to complete your online coursework, complete a Device Request. For more Information contact the Student Help Desk at 866-374-7169 or visit Dallas College's Learning Support webpage.

Does the Library Checkout Calculators?

The Library has graphing (TI-84 Plus), scientific (TI-30) and basic four-function calculators available to currently enrolled students; however, we are not currently checking out any calculators. If you need a calculator to complete your online coursework, try one of these free calculator apps or contact Tutoring Services for additional recommendations.
