Use RefWorks to manage citations and create bibliographies.


  1. From your Library Catalog search results, click on the quotation mark icon to open up the citation tools menu.
  2. Click on the RefWorks icon to export the reference to your RefWorks account.


NOTE: When prompted, choose to export to "New RefWorks"

Importing from EBSCOHost databases:

  1. From the search results, click on the title of the article you're citing.
  2. In the Tools menu, select the Export option:

NOTE: Most library databases allow direct export to RefWorks. The process varies slightly for each database.

Look for links saying Cite This, Save, Citation Tools, Export, etc.

RefWorks provides a browser plug-in called Save to RefWorks that allows you to import website references.

In order to install the plug-in, click-and-drag this button into your browser's bookmarks bar:

NOTE: Make sure that your browser's bookmarks bar is showing before attempting to add the button.

To manually add a reference, click on the + icon in RefWorks and select Create New Reference:

After clicking Create New Reference, fill out the reference form with the required citation details.
